One-on-One Visits for the Elderly

It is not uncommon for seniors living in residential facilities to lack mental stimulation and social contact.

This is especially true for people who have retired or those who have lived on their own for a long period of time. One-on-one visits is a solution provided by the Greater Equatoria Region Association.

Several visits are done in a month. Compassionate adults are carefully matched with a senior in need of some extra support, based on location and common interests. Regular visits often lead to a lasting and meaningful friendship.

 In addition to providing social contact, one-on-one visits provide social support, linkages for enrollment in public services, and referrals for ancillary community services.
